H.E.D.S (Hope Executive Development and Search) is a small boutique consultancy offering a personal search service. Our searches are typically at Board level and for organisations that have reached inflexion points and need to change strategic focus or “shift gears”.
Established in 1994 by Karen Hope, H.E.D.S draws on 30 years experience in executive search covering all industry sectors, including public sector. In recent years we have been particularly focused and specialised in helping early-stage technology companies build their boards and helping charity boards find the right talent to develop and implement new strategies in a changing environment that demands a more ‘corporate’ approach.
We work hard to understand what an organisation really needs and look beyond the obvious candidates, be they for Trustee roles or start-up appointments, to find individuals who will strengthen the board with their specialist knowledge and skills and strategic thinking, and fit well with the existing board members, adding to the dynamics of the leadership team.
In addition to executive search H.E.D.S also works with individuals and organisations in the areas of career transition, coaching, management audits, and interview skills training.
